CTW Kenya has today officially opened the three-day MEGAWATT Africa 2026 Energy and Water Exhibition at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), bringing together industry leaders, investors, policymakers and technology innovators from across the globe to showcase the latest developments in the energy, water and power sectors.

The exhibition, which runs from July 22 to 24, serves as one of Africa's leading platforms for advancing sustainable energy solutions, renewable technologies, power generation, transmission systems, water management and infrastructure development. It has attracted exhibitors and delegates from numerous countries, highlighting Kenya's growing role as a regional hub for trade, innovation and investment.

During the official opening, participants emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships to accelerate Africa's transition to clean and reliable energy while improving access to safe water. The event also provides opportunities for business networking, investment discussions and the exchange of ideas on emerging technologies that can support sustainable development across the continent.

The exhibition features displays covering renewable energy solutions, solar technologies, battery storage systems, power equipment, energy measurement technologies and smart infrastructure. Visitors are also expected to engage in business to business meetings, technical conferences and product demonstrations aimed at promoting innovation and collaboration within the sector.

Kenya continues to position itself as a leader in renewable energy, with significant investments in geothermal, wind and solar power. Hosting international exhibitions such as MEGAWATT Africa reinforces the country's ambition to become a gateway for energy and infrastructure investment in East Africa while supporting regional efforts to achieve universal access to affordable, reliable and sustainable energy.

The event is expected to attract thousands of professional visitors over the three days, offering local businesses an opportunity to connect with international manufacturers, suppliers and investors while showcasing Kenya's growing energy market.

The MEGAWATT Africa 2026 Energy and Water Exhibition concludes on Friday, July 24, after three days of exhibitions, conferences and networking sessions designed to foster innovation, trade and sustainable development in Africa's energy and water sectors.
