Nairobi Kenya|July 21, 2026

More than 100 golf caddies from leading golf clubs across Nairobi have today graduated with Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Responder certification after completing a month-long training programme organized by The Nairobi Hospital in partnership with Brookside Dairies.

The programme equipped the caddies with life-saving skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), responding to choking incidents, controlling severe bleeding, and managing medical emergencies before professional responders arrive.

Speaking during the graduation ceremony, The Nairobi Hospital CEO Felix Osano said the initiative places critical emergency response skills in the hands of those who are often first on the scene during medical emergencies on golf courses.

Brookside Dairies General Manager for Marketing, Linda Atieno, during her remarks said that the company was  proud to support the initiative, noting that training caddies as first responders would help make Nairobi's golfing community safer.

The Nairobi Hospital reaffirmed that it will continue partnering with organizations to promote preventive healthcare and strengthen emergency preparedness across communities.

Ends.
